Popular Jonas Brothers Songs And Their Meanings

Although the Jonas Brothers are young in age, their music has deep soulful meanings. The New Jersey band members are brothers: Paul Kevin Jonas II – Kevin Jonas born November 5, 1987, Joseph Adam Jonas – Joe Jonas born August 15, 1989, and Nicholas Jerry Jonas – Nick Jonas born September 16, 1992.
The song “Black Keys” is a great example of the mature and deep lyrical meanings behind their music. This song is a reflection of how the simplistic things in life are a great comfort, such as black and white piano keys. The girl in the song is feeling the chaotic world around her and the adolescents that fuels turbulence. The boy/the singer is seeing her true self that has been hidden behind all the facade/color/mask and finds her more beautiful than ever. Even though her tone may be sharp as the black keys on a piano, this raw emotion is real.
Another great example is the song, “Dear God.” This insightful song is dealing with the question of faith and the existence of God. The singer is having a conversation with God about those around him and their lack of belief because they can’t see his signs.
